ALL-TIME:
I am the first to admist some of these pics seem…obvious. I look at it and I think…really? And then I go through one by one and try to remove one of them. But for some reason, I cannot. If I had only 10 films (11) to reach the world, these are the 10 I choose (11). But, really, how can a man narrow it all down to just 10 (11)? That’s just not fair. #1 am for certain, and if it should change, then I should be someone else and not any longer me. It is definitive and unyielding. The others I love and occupy a space in my personal history as well as cinematic. This is why it is my Top 10 (11).

10. (TIE) American Beauty / The Matrix
9. Network
8. Saving Private Ryan
7. L.A. Confidential
6. The Shawshank Redemption
5. Scenes From a Marriage
4. The Lord of the Rings
3. Citizen Kane
2. Pulp Fiction
1. Magnolia

Intrigued as to who’d win in a tie-breaker between American Beauty and The Matrix. Enjoyed your lists overall, however (even if I don’t quite agree with some). I’m blogging away about movies myself – barretcm.wordpress.com

As you could maybe infer from my login ID/name, MAGNOLIA (1999) is truly my all-time favorite. So imagine my surprise/delight in discovering it at the top of your ALL-TIME faves! 🙂
